New sails @ the 49er European Championship!

We are two young guys trying to reach the top in sailing. The boat we are sailing is called 49er and is the very edge of our sport. The materials are fragile and need to be replaced quite often. The sails we have now have helped us perform so far this season, but after a couple of windy days the sails have lost their shape, been ripped and some of the fittings have been torn off. We've repaired some of it but they are not racing sails any more. A new jib and gennaker would really help us out, and if it's windy, a new main would speed us up even more.

24, grew up close to the water with a father workingas boat designer. Has always been racing and has much experience from the international circuit.

Strength: Enormous feeling for speed.

Otto Hamel -Crew 22, grew up with championship sailing and sailmaking within the family. Has been racing since his childhood and has now put his mechanical engineering studies on hold to fully focuson the racing campaign.

Strength: Experienced trimmer.
